2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Blancpain Edition Lamborghini Sport Cars

The first Gallardo from the exclusive and limited Blancpain Edition production run has been presented by Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, and Marc A. Hayek, President and CEO of Blancpain, at the final race weekend of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo on Sunday September 26 in the "Piero Taruffi" circuit, Vallelunga. Automobili Lamborghini and Blancpain are uniting their phenomenal engineering skill and honoring the huge success of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo racing series with a very special super sports car: the new Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Blancpain Edition.
The new features of the 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Blancpain Edition Lamborghini Sport Cars are easily noticeable. It comes with a huge front bumper, massive rear spoiler and diffuser, and new side skirts. These bits are all inspired by the actual racing car, but they look a bit too aggressive for a road car. One other feature derived from the racing model is the new engine cover, which is optimized for better ventilation, and looks superb!
Lamborghini sport cars is extremely happy about its cooperation with Blancpain. In just its second year, the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo has established itself in the premier league of gentlemen’s racing,” says Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. “Each race is a battle of dedication and passion for every single hundredth of a second – something that characterizes both of our brands. The Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Blancpain Edition demonstrates the close bond between our road-going super sports cars and the race car.”

The engine that powers the Gallardo Blancpain is the same V10 unit from the series Superleggera production car which churns out 570 hp. Given the 1340 kilograms (2954 lb) weight of the car which results in power-to-weight ratio of 2.35 kilograms (5.18 lb) per hp, this car is capable of going from zero to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.4 seconds and flies past the 200 km/h (124 mph) mark only 6.8 seconds later, ultimately exceeding 320 km/h (199 mph).
Blancpain is the title sponsor of the successful Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo series. The cooperation between these two brands brings together the highest levels of engineering excellence from the automotive and chronometry industries. Blancpain has been producing innovative masterpieces of watch-making art in Switzerland’s Vallée de Joux since 1735. Each timepiece is assembled by one single watchmaker, reflecting the quality and individual attention with which Lamborghini builds its super sports cars for the road, and its 570 hp Super Trofeo race cars.
The car will be exhibited at the Paris Motor Show.

The Lamborghini Gallardo (Italian pronunciation: [ga'?arðo][citation needed]) is a sports car built by Lamborghini. The Gallardo is Lamborghini's most-produced model to date, with over 10,000 built in its first seven years of production. Each car costs about $180,000 to $210,000. The car is named after a famous breed of fighting bull. The Spanish word gallardo  translates into "gallant".
The Gallardo offers two choices of transmissions, a conventional (H-Box) six-speed manual transmission, and an advanced six-speed electro-hydraulically controlled semi-automatic robotized manual, which Lamborghini abbreviates to "E-gear". The "E-gear" allows the driver to make shifts much faster than a manual transmission would. The driver shifts up and down via paddles behind the steering wheel, but also has an automatic mode.

2010 Citroen Concept Cars Citroën Lacoste Concept

The new concept car is a small buggy that Citroën claims is “stylishly minimalist and elegantly laid back”. With the intention to bring the fashion flair to the Paris Motor show, Citron has tied up with the French fashion house Lacoste to create a funky looking city car concept, Citroën Lacoste.
Two names, Citroën and Lacoste, have come together to be unveiled at the forthcoming Paris Motor Show, this new model is an emblem for a state-of-mind and a lifestyle. Clearly alluding to leisure and pleasure, it takes a simplified, no-nonsense approach to motoring - without forgetting refinement - and transports passengers to a lighter, fresher world.
At the crossroads of motoring, fashion and sport, the 2010 Citroen Concept Cars Citroën Lacoste Concept is a “shared vision of boldness, creativity and optimism” between the French brands, according to the pre-Paris press release. At first glance, the Citroën Lacoste concept appears to be a very optimistic car indeed, as it doesn't have a roof to mitigate the inevitability of a bleak French winter.
Pure, simple and laid-back, while remaining sophisticated, the Citroën Lacoste takes another step forward towards the car of the future - a vehicle aimed at putting an end to the "always more" mantra that often reigns in the automotive industry.

The new model also fuels Citroën's thinking of focusing on the essentials to create original cars that are affordable and economical, while losing none of their ambition or motoring passion, notably through premium styling.
Stylishly minimalist and elegantly laid-back, the Citroën Lacoste instantly attracts with its off-beat sports aesthetic. It features a high waistline; bulging and textured wings; minimum overhangs front and rear; and golf ball-style alloy wheels, placed in the furthest corners of the body. After a longer inspection, it is this car's "open" physique that appeals - promising a fulfilling drive, while expressing a wealth of inventiveness and elegance.
Powering the concept uses a small three-cylinder petrol engine with “plenty of performance on tap” according to the press release, as the compact (3.45 m long, 1.80 m wide, 1.52 m high and with a 2.30 m wheelbase) vehicle should be quite light, which, as per the brand, offers enough power to a vehicle of this size and weight.

Among the other styling details there are golf ball-style alloy wheels, a square relief design resembling the sections of a tennis net on many parts of the car, integration of the lights into the bumper instead of the sheet metal and Lacoste covered stowage in its dashboard and under the two bench seats.
The concept cars will be showcased at the Paris Motor Show on 30th Sep, 2010.

Nissan Concept Car - Motivity 400C Relies on Maglev

Nissan Motivity 400C concept car it is the latest creation of the brilliant visor and stunning feature characteristics from the side of Nissan by Tryi Yeh. But spreading his periphery, the Taiwanese designer has designed a car that takes you straight into the future. Faster, harder, stronger! The Nissan-Motivity 400C Sport cars concept by Tryi Yeh. The 400C has the Maglev engine system in each tire, making it quite floaty and speedy. The 400C has a wild, new triangle shape that reduces drag, while the driver seat controls retain their classic build.
Maglev, or magnetic levitation has been hailed as the future of high speed transportation since long, but the idea is predominantly based on trains. With the Motivity 400-C design proposal, designer Tryi Yeh intends to bring magnetic levitation from train tracks to roads.
This concept uses maglev motor system that has made it even stronger with each deck, which allows great control, functionality and style. The triangle-shaped bode this car reduces drag of air, therefore, this car offers better acceleration and is able to save more power. Wheel was traditional, so the driver can have the ultimate driving experience.

A little more info on the Maglev concept: The use of the physical properties of magnetic fields generated by superconducting magnets to cause an object (as a vehicle) to float above a solid surface. Merriam Webster Dictionary ; This method has the potential to be faster, quieter and smoother than wheeled mass transit systems. The technology has the potential to exceed 4,000 mph (6,400 km/h) if deployed in an evacuated tunnel.
Also, it turns out that if you use the technology to its max potential and in an evacuated tunnel, you might even reach speeds up to 6,400 km/h. Of course, this is pure theory and one that applies to bullet trains on magnetic levitation tracks…

Mazda Concept Car - Shinari Concept 2010

Mazda Concept Car - Shinari Concept 2010

The creation of the Shinari Concept Car starts with Ikuo Maeda, Mazda's global head of design. Maeda was the chief designer of the RX-8 and the Mazda2 and has been with the company for nearly 30 years, but his connection with the brand goes back even further than that. His father, Matasaburo Maeda, headed the design of the first generation RX-7 back in the 1970s. Mazda runs in the Maeda family's blood and there's no one more qualified to define the look of Mazda's next generation vehicles.
The development of the Shinari Concept was actually a collaboration between three of Mazda’s design centers in Japan, Germany and the United States. Mazda also said it is working to improve the quality level of its interiors for future vehicles. With Mazda Shinari Concept as the first step, Ikuo Maeda, general manager of Mazda's design division, aims to create original Mazda designs that will be recognized around the world. He summarizes his resolve in the following words:
"My goal is to create designs that people can point to proudly and say, 'This is a Mazda design'. There is no need for Mazda to build cars for people who are only concerned with 'style' and 'trends'. Whether working on sports cars or compact cars, I have always worked to create designs that evoke an emotional response in people and I hope to keep doing the same as I remain fully committed to develop designs for people who love and admire cars. It is my personal belief that the only way to create designs that fundamentally connect with people and to create designs they love, is if the people creating them are absolutely passionate about cars and are willing to make that passion a firm policy for design expression.
The Mazda Shinari is a pure design concept model of a four-door, four-seater sport cars coupe which perfectly expresses the 'KODO - Soul of Motion' design theme in a graceful and carefree form. All of Mazda Shinari Concept's body surfaces appear as if constantly undergoing transformation. There is no static shape to be found, as if the car is in perpetual motion. For instance the subtle control of the angle of the upper surface of the side sill, from the front to the rear, results in a form that suggests a flash of speed along the body of the car. Aerodynamic performance was a major priority for Mazda Shinari Concept, and the centre of the lower sections - on both the front and rear bumpers - are designed to optimize the flow of air along the underbody of the car.
The principle of 'dedicated driving ergonomics' is further reflected in the car's next generation Human Machine Interface (HMI). The availability of smaller electronic components has allowed Mazda Shinari Concept's designers to create a floating HMI three-dimensional display; a design element that represents the very latest HMI technology . The system offers three distinct modes: 'Business, Pleasure and Sport'.
Yasushi Nakamuta, the chief designer who led the design of the third generation Mazda MX-5, was the first to begin the ideation of the Mazda Shinari Concept: "The challenge for us was to create an innovative new expression for energetic and powerful movement; something that we had never attempted before. We began by developing the design around the image of a predator, as it strikes at its prey, or the stabbing movement in kendo, Japanese fencing, to express the instant where accumulated force is released.
Ikuo Maeda say, "Further, I consider it vitally important to have an awareness of Japanese originality in designing cars for Mazda. This is not merely about incorporating traditional Japanese elements into car design. I believe in reflecting the Japanese spirit in car designs as part of a subconscious practice. So, while I consider where this may lead in the future, my plan is to create cars that will be instantly recognizable as a Mazda, even when viewed at a distance. My ultimate goal is to create a brand presence that car lovers around the world recognize as representing both Mazda originality and Japanese originality. Future Mazda's will move people physically and emotionally - this is 'KODO - Soul of Motion'".

Hyundai Concept Car - New RB Concept 2010

Today at the 2010 Moscow International Motor Show, Hyundai unveiled the new RB Concept Cars, which shows that very vehicle and is already headed for production. The RB projects a coupe-like dynamic styling that is sculpted, stately and performance-oriented.
2010 Hyundai RB Concept Cars With elegant lines that resemble a calligrapher’s “orchid strokes,” the concept RB continues Hyundai Motor’s ‘fluidic sculpture’ design philosophy that injects sophistication and dynamic angles into the shape of a vehicle. Like any timeless work of art, the fluidic essence that characterizes molding design of Hyundai’s latest models is inspired by nature, realizing the harmonic coexistence of all things created.
The hot-looking Accent RB concept car is believed to be previewing the US-market Accent, which is scheduled to go on sale early next year. The concept car features similar front fascia design as early prototype models caught in the States recently, which means that the US-spec Accent will probably look very close to the RB concept cars.
According to Hyundai, the all-new Accent sub-compact sedan will be available with 1.4L or 1.6L in-line four cylinder gasoline engines when it hits the streets. The 1.6L engine packs 124 horsepower and 156 Nm of torque, while 1.4L unit generates 107 horsepower and 135 Nm of torque. The powerful and fuel-efficient Gamma engines will be mated to 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.
The strong design hints of the production version are highlighted in concept RB’s large hexagonal front grill, headlamps and “L”-shaped fog lamps that give luxurious and exquisite looks.
Production version of this concept car is scheduled to begin at Hyundai’s first full-cycle plant in Saint Petersburg, Russia, Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Russia(HMMR) in January 2011, and will join the Hyundai lineup in the spring of 2011.

It's worth noting this sector has been very successful for us in the past and now the Elite raises the benchmark higher still." As for the new, awesome design of the car, the designer Donato Coco has designed what can only be described as a truly stunning car. The 2010 Lotus Elite The Ultiimate Sports Cars Concept .
